The POSEZ Industrial Zone is situated in northwestern Cambodia adjacent to the border with Thailand. It is located in Banteay Meanchey Province on the boundary of Poipet Commune and Nimit Commune, approximately 10km northeast of Poipet Town. The POSEZ is an attractive alternative to prospective investors looking to open a factory in Southeast Asia. Although in Cambodia, the POSEZ is actually closer to Bangkok and Laem Chabang that most BOI Zone 3 industrial estates in Thailand. In addition, investment incentives are better and labor costs, construction costs and land prices are lower than in Thailand. The new ASEAN Highway will pass by the industrial zone and through the future O’Neang border checkpoint with Thailand. This new road will allow manufacturers in the POSEZ Industrial Zone to easily transport their products to the deep sea port at Laem Chabang only 250 km away.
