Roles and Responsibilities

● Develop and refine methods for radio access network (RAN) planning and optimization. Focus on improving coverage, capacity, and service quality while minimizing costs through data analytics.
● Employ data analysis to support strategic decision-making for network expansions and optimizations.
● Manage specialized groups to execute global RAN planning initiatives. Ensure strategic alignment with organizational objectives through effective leadership.
● Drive the development and adoption of automation solutions using Python, SQL, and other relevant tools to streamline routine processes and enhance operational efficiency.
● Ensure efficient management of the radio network planning OPEX and CAPEX budget through effective planning, design, and deployment to achieve business KPIs.
● Craft detailed presentations for management outlining network strategies, performance, and forward-looking plans based on analytical insights.
● Prepare comprehensive reports and data submissions in response to government inquiries, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
● To liaise with vendors on all matters relating to RF expansion requirements, ongoing optimization and network quality.
● Working closely with sales & marketing team to identify strong and weak zones in the network in terms of business potential and in line

Requirements

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
● Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in radio network planning, design, and optimization with a strong emphasis on data-driven strategies.
● Proficient in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation tasks.
● Experienced with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark.
● Skill in using GIS tools for geo-analytical purposes.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to utilize data for predictive modeling and decision-making.
● Strong capability in delivering clear and impactful communications to various stakeholders through reports and presentations.
● Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
● Skilled in regulatory compliance reporting, with a thorough understanding of the telecommunications regulatory landscape.
● Relevant certifications such as PMP, or network technology certifications (Cisco, Juniper).
● Creative problem-solving skills, with an ability to foresee and address future network challenges using a data-first strategy.
● Proficiency in English and the local language, if applicable.
