Roles and Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Governance
● Define the PMO’s vision, objectives, and roadmap in alignment with corporate strategy
● Establish governance frameworks, standardized methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and KPIs to measure project success.
● Regularly report to executive leadership on portfolio performance, risks, and ROI.
End-to-End Project Management Oversight
● Manage the entire project lifecycle (initiation to closure) for cross-functional telecommunication projects.
● Ensure resource allocation, budget adherence, and risk mitigation plans are in place.
● Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements.
Team Management & Development
● Lead, mentor, and grow a team of project managers and business analysts.
● Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
● Define role-specific KPIs and conduct performance evaluations.
Business Analysis Process Ownership
● Oversee requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design to ensure alignment between business needs and technical execution.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility.
● Implement BA tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and standardized documentation practices.
Stakeholder Engagement
● Act as the primary liaison between the PMO, executive leadership, and external partners (vendors, regulators).
● Manage expectations and communicate project statuses transparently to all stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
● Ensure projects comply with telecom industry regulations (e.g.MPTC, TRC, MoI, etc...)
● Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
Process Optimization and Innovation
● Continuously assess and improve project management tools, methodologies, and practices.
● Drive innovation in project delivery, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
● Implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems
Portfolio Management
● Manage the Divisions project portfolio, ensuring resource optimization and alignment with strategic priorities.
● Conduct regular reviews of project performance and provide updates to senior leadership.

Requirements


● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
● Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
● Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in the telecommunications or technology sector.
● Strong business analysis and strategic planning experience.
● PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certifications. Agile/Scrum certifications are an advantage.
● Proficiency in PM tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet), data analytics, and telecom-specific software.
● Strong leadership and team management skills.
● Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
● Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent).
● Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
